Survey Rates Top 10 Most Stressful Cities in California

The website CreditDonkey.com has conducted a survey, rating the most stressful cities in the state. The company has looked at statistics from several cities, including the percentage of divorcees, odds of being a victim of a violent crime, commute time, average hours worked per week, and a handful of other criteria that contribute to the headaches and high blood pressure of Californians.

Of the cities, the number one spot and the number four spot might be the most interesting, as both Lancaster and Victorville recently topped a previous list of the most boring cities in California. Which raises the question: How can two cities be both the most stressful and the most boring cities in California?

Surveys such as these can be manipulated to “get them to say whatever you want them to say,” Victorville Mayor Pro Tem Ryan McEachron said. CreditDonkey, who aggregated their data from the FBI and U.S. Census Bureau, revealed that Victorville is not a “peaceful small town,” with the odds of being a victim of a violent crime in Victorville being 1 in 176.

McEachron said that Victorville will continue to seek solutions to the issues highlighted in such surveys.
