Former Holtville City Manager Heading Community Development in Desert Hot Springs

Holtville City Manager Alex Meyerhoff has set out for Desert Hot Springs to serve as the city’s new community development manager. Meyerhoff began his new position on Monday with the support of the city manager and city council.

Meyerhoff has over 20 years of public service experience, with an expertise in environmental analysis, land use planning, and redevelopment issues. He has served the City of Holtville, 100 mile east of San Diego, since 2011. He also previously worked for the cities of Palm Springs, Coachella, Indio, and Twentynine Palms and has served as an Adjunct Faculty member at College of the Desert.

Meyerhoff holds an Associate of Arts in Political Science and History from the College of the Desert, as well as bachelor’s in History and a master’s in Architecture and Urban Planning from UCLA.

Finance Manager Nick Wells has already assumed the city manager duties in Holtville.
