Cyrus, you’re in!
Earlier this month, the Rancho Cordova City Council voted unanimously to hand the reigns over to Cyrus Abhar.
Abhar is the man! He has been with the city since its incorporation in 2003. He has previously held the positions of Public Works Director and Chief Building Official before taking on the City Manager spot on an interim basis four months ago. And then they made it permanent, sounds like a decent arrangement.
His expertise ranges from engineering to public works administration and business management going back almost three decades.
Abhar will be filling the shoes of Brian Nakamura who resigned after a negative performance evaluation.
"Thank you to the Rancho Cordova City Council for entrusting me with the great responsibility of the City Manager," said Abhar. "I am deeply grateful to our remarkable staff. We have an amazing team of dedicated professionals who work very hard every day to make Rancho Cordova a great place to live in and this City a great place to work for."
Good look to the new City Manager!
