CityNews Podcast: BOLT Staffing on the Art of the Resume

Whether you are looking to move up the chain or out of town, keeping your resume sharp is critical.

CityNews has teamed up with BOLT Staffing once again to help get your resume to the top of the stack in a series on all things staffing.

Our Mike Madrid sat down with BOLT Staffing’s Government Staff Coordinator Mike Ioakimedes, formerly of the Benicia City Council, and Mike says we live in a keyword search world, so refining the meat and potatoes of your resume into something short, concise, and relevant is critical.

It also never hurts to give a reminder that the email you list should be professional, but also maybe not a government email. No underscores either, think user friendly. Variants of your name at Gmail are the best way to go.

Remember to think about that social media presence too.
