The Most Rat-Infested Cities of 2019

Homelessness and sanitation problems are mounting in California's large cities. Los Angeles City Hall was even hit by a rat infestation earlier this year. Now, the city has landed in the #2 spot for the “rattiest” cities in America.

The annual rankings were put out by Orkin and are based on the number of exterminations the company carried out between September 15, 2018 and September 15, 2019.

These are the top 10 most rat infested cities, according to Orkin:

1. Chicago, IL

2. Los Angeles, CA

3. New York, NY

4. Washington, DC

5. San Francisco, CA

6. Detroit, MI

7. Cleveland, OH

8. Minneapolis-St. Paul, MN

9. Philadelphia, PA

10. Atlanta, GA
