South Lake Tahoe Names New City Manager

Healdsburg Assistant City Manager Joe Irvin has been selected as the next top administrator of South Lake Tahoe.

“We are so excited to have a fresh face like Joe, leading the City of South Lake Tahoe,” said Mayor Jason Collin. “What this city needs is enthusiasm, and passion for the people who call this city home and the people who love to visit and vacation here. Joe embodies the spirit of our city and I am happy we selected him to work on behalf of this great city.”

Irvin has held the assistant manager position in Healdsburg since 2018. He was previously in the same role in Sequim, Washington.

Former South Lake Tahoe City Manager Frank Rush stepped down on January 24 and is now working for Big Bear Lake. Brad Kilger, the former city manager of Martinez, has been carrying out city manager duties since January.
