Vacaville City Manager Terminated

Jeremy Craig, who was hired as Vacaville’s city manager in 2017, has been ousted by the City Council. In a unanimous vote March 24, city leaders terminated his contract, effective immediately.

No reason was given for the vote, which turns out to have been quite expensive. The Fairfield Daily Republic reports Craig is walking away with nearly $200,000 in combined severance, salary, accrued vacation and leave.

Assistant City Manager Aaron Busch is now serving as acting city manager.
