Moorpark City Manager Troy Brown has been selected as the 2020-2021 president-elect of the International City/County Management Association (ICMA). Brown was given the honor during ICMA’s 2020 UNITE digital event on Thursday, August 6, 2020. He’ll assume the position at the 2021 annual conference in Portland.

“We are thrilled with Troy's selection as the incoming president-elect," said Jane Brautigam, ICMA’s sitting president. "He brings deep conviction that ICMA and our members are ready and able to lead our communities past the present crises to a place of hope and healing. I have every confidence that his leadership will have a significant positive impact on our outreach to all members across the globe."

Brown has worked in local government for the past 26 years. He has served as a management analyst for Santa Clarita; assistant to the city managers of Riverside, Elk Grove, and Livermore; and as city manager of Tracy. For 16 years, he has been actively involved with ICMA, a leading association of local government professionals supporting successful communities since 1914.
