Santa Barbara Assistant City Manager Pam Antil has accepted the city manager’s position in the San Diego County city of Encinitas, Noozhawk reports.
“It was an honor serving the Santa Barbara community," said Antil. "Our team managed through some difficult challenges during my time here, including the longest drought in the history of the city, the Thomas Fire, and now a global pandemic and resulting economic effects. I’m proud to have been a part of an organization that handled each challenge with care and professionalism."
Antil has held her current position since 2015. She previously served as assistant city manager in San Jose and Palo Alto.
Antil makes $224,648 per year as assistant city manager of Santa Barbara. She will succeed Karen Brust, who made $336,000 as city manager of Encinitas.
