Rocklin Hires New City Manager

Vista Assistant City Manager Alexandra Zimmerman has been hired as city manager of Rocklin in Placer County. She starts her new job on Nov. 16.

Zimmermann has worked for Vista for 18 years and has overseen its $150 million operating budget. She previously worked as a policy analyst for the League of California Cities and in the Governor’s Office of Planning and Research. She earned a bachelor's degree in international relations from the University of California Davis and a master's in public administration from San Diego State University.

Rocklin’s city manager position comes with an annual salary of $240,000 plus benefits and includes a $6,000 stipend for car and cellphone, according to the Sacramento Business Journal.
