Escondido Hires Santa Rosa Manager Sean McGlynn

Santa Rosa City Manager Sean McGlynn will leave the job he’s held for nearly seven years at the end of May. McGlynn has accepted the city manager’s post in the San Diego County city of Escondido.

“Sean has been a steady hand during some of Santa Rosa’s most challenging times,” said Mayor Chris Rogers. “This community owes him a debt of gratitude—we have been well-served by his leadership and will be sad to see him go.”

McGlynn was appointed city manager in 2014. He previously worked for El Paso, Texas.

Escondido has been without a permanent administrator since July when Jeff Epp officially retired. Epp has continued to help manage the city on an interim, contract basis.
