Pleasanton, California has announced the appointment of Alexa Jeffress as deputy city manager. She is scheduled to begin Feb. 7.
Jeffress currently serves as Oakland’s Economic and Workforce Development Director. She has more than 20 years of experience in government and previously served as the West Region Director of Multifamily Asset Management for the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development.
Jeffress holds a B.A. from Columbia University and a J.D. from the University of California Hastings College of Law. She is a member of the California State Bar.
“Her diverse career experiences and responsibilities will serve our organization and the community, now and as we plan for the future,” said Pleasanton City Manager Gerry Beaudin. “This is an exciting time for Pleasanton as we address a number of opportunities to advance the goals of our City Council. We’re excited that Alexa will be joining us in this effort.”
