Sixteen years ago this month we hit send on the very first edition of California City News. Within a month we broke our first thousand subscribers and we were on our way. We are very proud today to launch a revamp of our website with a sleeker interface, more top news stories, and a more efficient way for you, our subscribers, to list your career opportunities.
Since it was first introduced in 2007, I am proud to say California City News has grown to become the most widely read online local government publication in California, and launched several sister sites including California County News and Cal School News, focused on covering local, legislative and education policy throughout the State.
California City News is planning several special events until the end of this year to celebrate its “Sweet Sixteen” including unveiling a new feature for subscribers of the newsletters, and promotional offers throughout 2023.
We are honored to have been a favorite jobs board for your local agencies looking to reach a large number of highly qualified prospective candidates. Our commitment to the news and career opportunities for leading local government voices has made us the prime destination for city managers, department heads, public information officers, state and local elected officials and journalists. We couldn’t be more excited about what the next sixteen years will bring.
Sincerely,
Mike Madrid
