The County is seeking a strong leader and experienced human resources professional to effectively manage and oversee the operations, services, and activities of Human Resource Services. The ideal candidate will be a strategist who operates in a results-driven, hands-on fashion and demonstrates the ability to multi-task and be flexible in order to adapt to a dynamic and fast-paced environment. They will have proven team management experience providing leadership development and best practices to the Human Resources function. Strong labor relations experience is essential to success in this assignment. The preferred candidate, therefore, should have experience in a multi-union, public sector environment and a thorough understanding of the principles and techniques related to employee and labor relations collective bargaining laws, procedures, and practices. A combination of education and experience that demonstrates the competency and ability to perform the duties of the position is qualifying. Special qualifications including specialized knowledge, abilities, education, experience, professional credentials, or licensure will be viewed favorably. The monthly salary for the incoming Chief Human Resources Officer is $10, 429 – $19,779, DOQ.
