The Sacramento Suburban Water District (District) is looking for an Information Technology (IT) Manager to lead the IT functions and activities performed through the District’s Finance and Administrative Services Department. This hands-on, steadfast leader will oversee seven staff while managing an operating budget of approximately $1.8M, and a capital budget of approximately $316K. They will report to the Director of Finance and Administrative Services and oversee a variety of critical technology support functions for the District. This is an exciting opportunity to mentor others while also working as a technical resource for the District. The IT Manager will regularly work with District staff across all departments, requiring them to have strong communication, relationship-building, and customer service skills. They will also frequently interact with vendors, outside agencies, contractors, consultants, and the public, so this leader needs to be a knowledgeable and highly customer-service-focused representative of the District. The ideal candidate will have a background in overseeing a variety of integrated enterprise systems and will work closely with the GIS and IT staff. They will seek to continually integrate better business applications systems into the District while maintaining current IT resources.
