This is a Management position with excellent benefits, including vacation, holiday leave, administrative leave, auto allowance, life insurance, LTD, sick leave, 457 Plan. Retirement formula in accordance with the City's CalPERS contract.
SALARY: $114,524 to $139,193 annually.
POSITION SUMMARY: To assist in the planning, directing, managing and overseeing the activities and operations of the Public Works Department including engineering, traffic, development review, street maintenance, park maintenance, building maintenance, fleet maintenance, wastewater and stormwater drainage systems maintenance; to manage and coordinate assigned activities with other departments and outside agencies; and perform related duties as required.
Equivalent to a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in civil engineering, business administration, public administration or a related field.
Five (5) years of increasingly responsible public works operations and maintenance experience including two (2) years of management and administrative experience. Two (2) years of professional engineering experience is desirable.
License or Certificate:
Possession of a certificate of registration as a Professional Engineer is desirable.
Possession of an appropriate, valid driver's license.
