Under general direction from the City Manager, the Chief of Police provides administrative direction to plan, manage, and oversee the functions and operations of the Santa Paula Police Department including law enforcement, crime prevention, and administrative support services and activities. This is the Police Department’s top executive management position and will oversee 31 sworn officers and 16 non-sworn staff. The City of Santa Paula is seeking an innovative and experienced law enforcement professional, with a commitment to an active model of community policing to serve as its next Police Chief. The annual salary range for the incoming Chief of Police is $147,368–$179,171.20 and is dependent upon qualifications. Note: 4% cost of living adjustment will be effective July 1, 2024.
