The City of Moreno Valley (population nearing 214,000) is a progressive and diverse city with a bright future. Strategically located in the western portion of Riverside County, Moreno Valley is about an hour’s drive east of Los Angeles, west of Palm Springs, and north of San Diego. The City of Moreno Valley is seeking a knowledgeable, capable, and experienced Community Development Director who can provide strategic planning and effective leadership for the Department. Qualified candidates must possess a bachelor’s degree with major course work in urban planning, public administration, regional planning or related field; and ten (10) years of progressively responsible planning and administrative experience in urban planning and/or community development, at least five (5) in a management capacity; or equivalent combination of training and experience. The monthly salary for the Community Development Director $11,861 - $18,891, depending upon qualifications and experience.
