The City of Tustin (pop. 79,535) is located southwest of Los Angeles in the heart of Orange County and is widely recognized for its exceptional quality of life and ideal location. Supported by a team of 23, the Finance Department encompasses Finance (treasury services, financial services, budget, accounts receivable/payable, purchasing, customer service, cashiering, water billing, payroll, and financial reporting) and Information Technology. Reporting to the City Manager, the Director also serves as City Treasurer.

Tustin is seeking a visionary leader who is well-versed in all aspects of public sector finance. A skilled strategic thinker, they will be an exceptional problem solver known for approaching challenges with creativity and optimism. The ideal candidate will also be a strong and inclusive people manager with the demonstrated ability to inspire and mentor. Competitive candidates will offer at least seven years of experience, including four years of service in a management/ supervisory capacity, and a bachelor’s degree. Master’s degree desirable.
