We have an opening for the position of Insurance Manager in our Human Resources Department. Under administrative direction, directs, manages, supervises, and coordinates the activities and operations of the Risk and Safety Division within the Human Resources Department including the City’s insurance, loss control, property/liability claims programs, safety, and workers’ compensation; coordinates assigned activities with other divisions, departments, and outside agencies; and provides highly responsible and complex administrative support to the Director of Human Resources.
Equivalent to a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in risk management, safety, business administration, public administration, or a related field.
Seven years (full-time equivalent) of increasingly responsible risk/insurance management, including two years (full-time equivalent) of administrative and supervisory responsibility.
License or Certificate:
Possession of an appropriate, valid driver's license.
Associate in Risk Management (ARM) Designation or RIMS-Certified Risk Management Professional certification or equivalent is highly desirable.
