The City of Santa of Santa Fe Springs is seeking a highly-motivated individual for the position of Library Services Manager. This is a Full-Time position in the Community Services Department; Library Services Division.

The Library Services Division works collaboratively in an integrated services approach to meet the educational, leisure and cultural needs of the residents in Santa Fe Springs. Amongst the traditional program offerings found in a public library, the Library Services Division takes great pride in offering state of the art technology for our patrons. The City Library is also responsible for managing assets needed to provide professional reference service; non-traditional cultural programs such as First Friday and vital literacy projects. The Library has a total circulation of 173,000 materials, 36,000 registered borrowers, and over 160,000 visits per year. The Library also oversees the Carriage Barn located at Heritage Park and its programming including school tours and the docent program.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
The following requirements generally demonstrate possession of the minimum requisite knowledge and ability necessary to perform the duties of the position. A typical way to obtain these would be:
Master’s Degree in Library and Information Services is required
Three (3) years of increasingly responsible professional library operations experience plus two (2) years of administrative and supervisory experience. Municipal experience highly preferred.
A valid State of California driver’s license and an acceptable driving record.
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:
$93,996.12 - $116,463.72. City of Santa Fe Springs offers competitive benefits package.
