Parking and Mobility Program Analyst

The City of Ventura is hiring! We are accepting applications for the position of Parking and Mobility Program Analyst. The Parking and Mobility Program Analyst is a key position within the Public Works Department.

Reporting directly to the Principal Civil Engineer (within the Transportation Division), the Parking and Mobility Program Analyst is responsible for planning and administering all City parking and mobility programs, including parking meters, parking structure fee analysis, permits, maintenance activities and improvements, budget analysis, management of mobility technologies, parking operations, policy development, and contracts.  This Analyst also serves as City staff liaison with Gold Coast Transit and the Ventura County Transportation Commission and is the lead contact administering advisory committee meetings.

The Ideal Candidate:

You are a natural self-starter with a passion for the field of Parking Management/Transportation programs, intent on providing the highest level of customer service to citizens of the City of Ventura!  
Through education, training and/or experience you can:
- demonstrate mechanic aptitude with a willingness to get your hands dirty
- work independently or in a team environment on multiple projects or issues simultaneously
- use creative problem-solving skills to gather relevant information to solve less well-defined practical problems
- clearly communicate industry-specific material orally and in writing to those both knowledgeable and unfamiliar with the topic
- work harmoniously with a wide range of people as part of a collaborative team, including city staff, downtown organizations, business owners, residents of Ventura, consultants, and vendors

Position Qualifications

A combination of education, training and experience equivalent to a bachelor’s degree in public administration, business administration, engineering, urban planning, or a related field and four years of increasingly responsible related parking, mobility or transportation program experience.

License:  Possession of, or ability to obtain, a valid California driver license.

Salary and Benefits

The City offers a compensation package that includes both a generous salary and excellent benefits!

Salary: $83,657.18 - $112,101.60 Annually
